Content Guidelines

At Onwords, we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for authors and readers.

We have outlined below guidelines for our community regarding what activity/content is not allowed on the platform for shared understanding. These guidelines are a living document, and we will update them according to what we deem best for the community.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts or remove content at any time if we determine a user's conduct or content is inappropriate or harmful.

Intellectual property infringement. You are only allowed to post or share content that is your own or that you have rights to. We encourage you to make sure the content you are sharing is yours or that you've secured the appropriate rights. This includes third-party content and any derivative work.

If you own a copyright and believe it has been violated, please report it to us per our Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Policy.

Sexually explicit content including but is not limited to pornography, sexual violence or exploitation, sexual services, and illegal sex acts.

Self-harm and suicide. If you are struggling with eating disorders, addiction, self-harm, or thoughts of suicide, please know that you are supported. However, content involving or glorifying self-harm or suicide can be triggering and harmful to others.

If you or anyone you know is struggling, here are some available resources that can help:

Extreme violence, gore, and other obscene content. Any content that focuses exclusively on extreme or gratuitous violence or gore is prohibited and will be removed.

Hateful conduct, harassment, and threats. We have a zero-tolerance policy for violence and threats towards others. Any accounts involved in such activity will be indefinitely suspended.

Spam or false information.

Any illegal content.
